Home Made Slime
There are several different kinds of home made slime or Gak to chose from. The Color of your home made slime will be determined by the glue you use and the amount of food coloring.
Home Made Slime: Solid Colors
What You”ll Need To Make Your Home Made Slime (Solid Colors)
- 1 (7.625 oz) Elmer’s White Glue
- 2 Tsp.Borax (find in the laundry detergent aisle of the store)
- 1 Cup Warm Water
- Two bowls
- Food coloring
Step 1: Mix 2 tsp. Borax and 1 Cup of warm water together. Mix until borax powder is fully dissolved in the water.
Step 2: In a separate bowl pour out the entire container of glue (7.625 oz bottle). If needed, cut the top of the glue bottle off with an Xacto knife, and scoop the remaining glue out with a spatula. Add the food coloring, mix it up till you get the desired color. (You can add a tsp or two of water to the glue to make it more flexible)
Step 3: Add your borax and water mixture to your colored glue mixture, and stir it up. You will see your home made slime begin to form as the mixture becomes thicker. You can even let the little ones kneed the mixture with their fingers.
